GEN x POLIN ATMI International Webinar

On November 10, 2021, Polytechnic Industry ATMI and GEN Indonesia jointly hosted a webinar titled “Entrepreneurship in Digital Transformation: Connecting Creative Mindset and Technology.” With an excellent and fruitful mentoring session from;

  • Mr. Rasmus Wiinstedt Tscherning, Founder & Managing Director of Creative Business Network, Member of the Advisory Board of Copenhagen Business School, Board of Danish Cultural Institute, and Lecturer of Denmark’s International Study Program
  • Mr. Andreas Bastedo. Academics and Practitioners, CEO of 3DS dan lecturer at Universitas Ciputra, Surabaya
  • Mr. Arifiyanto Prawira, Alumnae of Polytechnic Industry ATMI
  • Mr. Dananto Setyawan, Mechatronics Lecturer of Polytechnic Industry ATMI

Each mentoring session provided the audience with knowledge and inspiration to develop an enthusiastic, innovative, and technological mindset. During the session, Mr. Rasmus and Mr. Andreas shared insights from their respective fields, started with the topic of creative thinking in digital transformation, and continued with the presentation of how to become a technopreneur of the future. In the second session, Mr. Danan introduced the nuances of professional training, such as a general presentation of mechatronics. In the last session, to wrap up all the materials, one of the alumnae of POLIN ATMI, Mr. Arif, shared his career story from his early experiences until becoming a successful entrepreneur.

The purpose of this international webinar is to raise the awareness of young generations about the prospects of techno-entrepreneurship, to present POLIN ATMI as a reference for studying techno-entrepreneurship, to expand the network of POLIN ATMI with stakeholders and countries around the world, and promote the development of mechatronics and technology in the digital world. As current inventions evolve, the challenge for current generations is to become technopreneurs who can innovate and become problem solvers by utilizing technological resources.

Raih Kesempatan ke Luar Negeri! Penghargaan Mobilitas Pelajar Internasional Indonesia 2022

Penghargaan Mobilitas Pelajar Internasional Indonesia (IISMA) adalah program beasiswa yang didanai oleh Pemerintah Republik Indonesia untuk membiayai program magang di universitas dan industri terkemuka di luar negeri bagi pelajar Indonesia. IISMA menawarkan dua jalur untuk mahasiswa akademi dan vokasi.

Pada jalur vokasi, mahasiswa dibekali dengan pembelajaran bekerjasama dengan industri, dimana mereka akan menyelesaikan tugas-tugas praktek untuk meningkatkan keterampilan. IISMA juga memperkenalkan mahasiswa Indonesia pada keragaman akademik dan budaya internasional. Program ini dibuka untuk mahasiswa Diploma 3 dan Diploma 4 (Sarjana Ilmu Terapan) dari pendidikan tinggi vokasi. Mahasiswa harus berada di semester keempat (untuk Diploma 3) atau semester keempat atau keenam (untuk Diploma 4) saat melakukan pendaftaran. Selama satu semester, mahasiswa akan belajar di institusi yang bekerja sama dengan industri.

Menariknya, program ini memberikan kesempatan bagi mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan pemikiran analitis dan keterampilan jaringan mereka dalam pendidikan internasional; memberikan kesempatan untuk belajar dalam kolaborasi di industri; memungkinkan mereka untuk mendapatkan pengalaman kerja; dan menjadi sarana pelaksanaan program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), dimana mahasiswa akan memiliki kebebasan untuk memilih berbagai mata kuliah di luar program studinya.

Salah satu mahasiswa ATMI Politeknik Industri, Alexander Timothy dari Program Studi Teknik Mesin berhasil lolos seleksi dan diterima di Universitas Chung Yuan. Beasiswanya telah dimulai pada Agustus 2022 dan akan berakhir pada Februari 2023 untuk Skema Kelas dan Pengalaman Industri (perpaduan program pembelajaran di kelas dan beberapa pengalaman industri).

Virtual MoU Signing Ceremony: Celebrating International Collaboration between Polytechnic Industry ATMI and Deggendorf Institute of Technology

Industrial revolution 4.0 inevitably has profound impacts on how people live. Its rapid development on technology and data exchanges create a lot of challenges which have to be faced by today’s generation in order to survive. On the contrary, at the same time, industrial revolution 4.0 also provides advantages and opportunities for those who can make the best use of it. Therefore, in order to prepare them facing those challenges, higher education must be able to provide education which facilitates students to master several skills namely critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, and collaboration (4C).

In response to this, Polytechnic Industry ATMI whose mission is to educate young people to become professionals who have technical abilities and moral responsibility, which are formulated in its own 4C namely Competence, Conscience, Compassion, and Commitment, started to pave the way for international collaboration. This is done by building a collaborative relationship with Deggendorf Institute of Technology which aims to conduct several cooperation such as:

  1. Joint educational and research activities
  2. Exchange of faculty members for lectures, discussions, and research
  3. Exchange of students for study and research

On September 21, 2021, Polytechnic Industry ATMI successfully conducted a Virtual Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony between Polytechnic Industry ATMI and Deggendorf Institute of Technology. The virtual ceremony was conducted to celebrate the MoU signing on the collaboration between both parties. The form of collaboration that has been endorsed in the MoU is that both institutions have agreed to make every reasonable effort to encourage direct contact, educational, and research cooperation between their constituents, including students, faculty members, departments, and research institutes, and will endeavor to cooperate in the fields with which both institutions are concerned. The MoU is expected to facilitate students prepare themselves to get into the working world. Not only do they will possess high competence, but also they will have international experience.

In addition, it also provides some benefits including:
