Virtual MoU Signing Ceremony: Celebrating International Collaboration between Polytechnic Industry ATMI and Deggendorf Institute of Technology

Industrial revolution 4.0 inevitably has profound impacts on how people live. Its rapid development on technology and data exchanges create a lot of challenges which have to be faced by today’s generation in order to survive. On the contrary, at the same time, industrial revolution 4.0 also provides advantages and opportunities for those who can make the best use of it. Therefore, in order to prepare them facing those challenges, higher education must be able to provide education which facilitates students to master several skills namely critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, and collaboration (4C).

In response to this, Polytechnic Industry ATMI whose mission is to educate young people to become professionals who have technical abilities and moral responsibility, which are formulated in its own 4C namely Competence, Conscience, Compassion, and Commitment, started to pave the way for international collaboration. This is done by building a collaborative relationship with Deggendorf Institute of Technology which aims to conduct several cooperation such as:

  1. Joint educational and research activities
  2. Exchange of faculty members for lectures, discussions, and research
  3. Exchange of students for study and research

On September 21, 2021, Polytechnic Industry ATMI successfully conducted a Virtual Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony between Polytechnic Industry ATMI and Deggendorf Institute of Technology. The virtual ceremony was conducted to celebrate the MoU signing on the collaboration between both parties. The form of collaboration that has been endorsed in the MoU is that both institutions have agreed to make every reasonable effort to encourage direct contact, educational, and research cooperation between their constituents, including students, faculty members, departments, and research institutes, and will endeavor to cooperate in the fields with which both institutions are concerned. The MoU is expected to facilitate students prepare themselves to get into the working world. Not only do they will possess high competence, but also they will have international experience.

In addition, it also provides some benefits including:
